The Allergology Department takes on more than 800 outpatient cases annually.

Over the last few years, allergic diseases have reached epidemic proportions, particularly among infants and children. In fact, 1 in 3-4children suffers from at least one allergic condition.

Allergic diseases are chronic inflammatory conditions characterized by flare-ups and remissions, and they include:

  • Anaphylaxis
  • Asthma
  • Allergic rhinitis
  • Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
  • Urticaria/Angioedema
  • Other skin allergies
  • Food allergies
  • Drug allergies
  • Insect sting allergies

The specially trained medical staff assesses and examines children who are suffering from any of the conditions listed above in order to plan individualized diagnosis and treatment for their young patients while also educating their families about the diseases and how they can help their child. This approach helps to minimize the risks and daily challenges that chronic allergies can bring, thus ensuring a better quality of life for children with allergies and their families. To achieve this, the experienced medical team works closely with related specialists and children's families to build relationships of trust and support so they can best help their children.
