IASO Children’s Hospital: 13th Hybrid Scientific One-Day Conference on “Contemporary Pediatric Issues”
The 13th Hybrid Scientific One-Day Conference of IASO Children’s Hospital on the topic “Contemporary Pediatric Issues” will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, at 09:00 a.m., at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall (37-39 Kifissias Ave, Maroussi), in order to highlight the latest developments and best practices in the field of pediatrics. The conference is an institution for the scientific community, offering a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience so as to improve pediatric care.
Distinguished scientists from a wide range of pediatric specialties, as well as invited speakers with extensive experience, will present modern approaches and innovative therapeutic practices on critical issues in pediatrics. The topics covered will include the latest developments in the management of infections, autoimmune diseases, and endocrine disorders, new therapeutic approaches to surgical and respiratory conditions, the introduction of a new long-acting RSV monoclonal antibody, as well as the importance of nutrition as a therapeutic tool. Special emphasis will be placed on the screening and management of pediatric patients with complex clinical features, such as episodic disorders, increased head circumference, and developmental challenges.
Within the framework of the conference, clinical cases will also be presented, highlighting the modern diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, including prenatal diagnosis and treatment of extrahepatic bile duct cysts, successful correction of a rare congenital lymphatic anomaly, the recent experience from the 2024-2025 epidemic outbreak of mycoplasma pneumoniae infection, the increasing frequency of bronchiectasis in the pediatric population, as well as the investigation of a case involving a toddler with tremors and an unsteady gait.
Through interactive sessions, roundtable discussions, and specialized lectures, the conference provides an important opportunity for information and knowledge sharing for pediatricians and healthcare professionals, so as to constantly improve the care of young patients.
