Severe hematological disorders like leukemia, aplastic anemia, lymphomas or myelodysplastic syndromes (MDSs) are rare in childhood, and require children to receive treatment in specialized units.
The Pediatric Hematology Department, running also an Outpatient Department, offers comprehensive clinical and laboratory examinations to young patients with hematologic disorders on a daily basis.

Using modern medical equipment, the Hematology Laboratory performs specialized tests for the diagnosis, management and monitoring of every pediatric hematological disorder.
