4th Surgery Clinic

The 4th Surgery Clinic was structured, organized and operates based on contemporary international standards, ensuring the highest level of material, technical and scientific infrastructure. In addition to General Surgery, the Clinic specializes in Surgical Oncology, with an emphasis on the management of selected cases. The 4th Surgery Clinic, with the previous experience of the surgical team as a guarantee and relying on their well-rounded scientific training, which was acquired in leading centers in Europe and the U.S., is able to provide comprehensive services, so that major oncologic conditions, complicated cases and their complications are approached through accurate diagnoses and treated accordingly.

The members of the clinic, with respect for academic and state-of-the-art surgery, are considered pioneers of bloodless Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) surgery (both open and minimally invasive) as well as the introduction of new, innovative surgical methods of treating tumors that were previously considered inoperable (NanoKnife Surgery, Electrochemotherapy, Ablation, Two-Stage Hepatectomy, ALPPS procedures, etc.). At the same time, they are validated by the contemporary exponents of the treatment of demanding disease entities, such as Idiopathic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), Sarcoma Surgery with resections of multiple organs and Peritoneal Carcinomatosis.

Therefore, IASO General Clinic now has a team with vast experience and know-how in Open and Laparoscopic - Robotic Surgical Oncology (MIS - Minimally Invasive Surgery) which, based on academic medicine, aims to make the most of its equipment, while ensuring our patients’ treatment with minimal surgical trauma, minimal postoperative pain, rapid mobilization and recovery, always combined with the best oncological result possible.
