The department has specialized systems and technology for carrying out specialized examinations for newborns and the capability of performing interventional procedures. It is equipped with three units, which perform all exams, including elastography. Organ biopsy sampling is also available, as well as routine ultrasound tests with administration of contrast agents and ultrasound-guided biopsies. The department is staffed with qualified medical personnel and provides its services directly to all cases in which the contribution of the department is necessary.
