IASO Children’s Hospital: 3rd One-Day Seminar for Parents “Preterm Newborns: Everything you need to know”
The 3rd One-Day Seminar of IASO Children’s Hospital for Parents , on the topic “Preterm Newborns: Everything you need to know”, will be held on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, at 09:15, at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall.
Τhe 2nd Pediatrics Clinic of IASO Children’s Hospital continues to successfully organize seminars for Parents, related to common issues that concern parents, giving advice on how to deal with and prevent them, aiming to better inform them and provide continuous help and offering in their challenging task.
The aim of the seminar is to discuss and clarify issues related to the care and development of high-risk newborns in a straightforward manner, without any misinformation.
The seminar will commence with the presentation of IASO’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, while also referring to the care of preterm newborns. Afterwards, special emphasis will be put on the modern imaging approach to perinatal diagnosis, on the factors that determine the appearance of respiratory symptoms before and after birth, on the prevention of infections during the 1st trimester following the birth, as well as on the pediatric neurological monitoring of high-risk infants. Finally, the specialists will refer to the psychological support of parents at great length.
