As part of the annual celebrations for the World Breastfeeding Week, IASO Nursing Division is hosting the 26th Breastfeeding Seminar at the IASO Events Hall, from Monday 25 November to Friday 29 November.

The Seminar’s scientific program has been prepared based on the guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Breastfeeding Committee, and the event is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and the Hellenic Midwives Association.

The daily activities will include 23 hours of theoretical training with speeches and presentations, as well as 8 hours of hands-on training at individual nursing departments within the Hospital.

Distinguished healthcare professionals with long experience and contribution is supporting and promoting breastfeeding in Greece will participate in the Seminar. The opening of the Seminar will take place at the IASO Events Hall on Monday 25 November at 11:00 am. Welcoming speeches will be delivered by Dr. Georgios Stamatiou, Chairman of the IASO Group BoD; Mr. Emmanouil Diakomanolis, Professor of Ob/Gyn at the University of Athens and Chairman of the IASO Scientific Council; Mr. Dimitrios Konstantinou, Pediatrician/Neonatologist, Director of the IASO NICU; Ms. Sofia Biti, Midwife and Director of the IASO Nursing Division; and Ms. Victoria Vivilaki, RM PgCert MMedSc PhD Midwife, Associate Professor at the Midwifery Department, University of West Attica and Chair of the Association of Scientist Midwives of Athens BoD.

The Seminar is addressed to healthcare professionals and admission is free.
