IASO Children’s Hospital and APLS Hellas are holding the Advanced Pediatric Life Support Course (APLS) on Saturday 25 May and Sunday 26 May 2018 at 08:00, at the premises of IASO and IASO Children’s Hospital.

The Course is addressed to nurse practitioners, medical specialists and interns involved in Resuscitation and Advanced Life Support procedures for Children and Infants and includes lectures, “hands-on” skill stations, tutorials and teaching, as well as participation in simulation case scenarios.

Following the successful attendance of the Course, the candidates will be certified as APLS Providers by the Advanced Life Support Group in UK, an essential requirement for someone who wants to work in a Pediatric Hospital either in a country of the Commonwealth or in a European country.

Through interactive training techniques, the APLS Course educates both on theoretical and practical level on:

• prevention and treatment of cardiorespiratory arrest in children and infants
• implementation of initial management strategies in life-threatening situations or traumas in children and infants

Ms Filippia Aroni, Consultant Anesthesiologist at the ICU of IASO Children’s Hospital, shall be Scientifically Responsible for the Course.
