The screening test aims to the timely diagnosis, control and complications prevention of diabetes. It mainly concerns individuals with inherited predisposition, women with a history of gestational diabetes mellitus (GBM), diabetics as well as obese individuals, regardless of age.

Prevention is crucial since diabetes, reasonably called the ‘sneaky disease’, can, for long periods of time, exhibit no significant symptoms. Its timely diagnosis prevents early vascular aging (EVA) and other serious complications.
