IASO Children’s Hospital is holding the 3rd Study Day titled “Current Pediatrics Issues” on 12 April 2014 at the Aegli Zappeiou, under the auspices of the Hellenic Pediatric Academy. The attending pediatricians will have the opportunity to be updated upon the latest developments in Pediatrics. The issues to be discussed cover conditions developed in children from infancy to adolescence and shall include topics on: gastroenterology, pediatric-surgery, endocrinology, neurology, dermatology, mental health, development, rheumatologic conditions, pediatric-cardiology, pediatric cardiac-surgery, plastic surgery and vaccinations.

IASO Children’s Hospital is accommodated in a state-of-the-art building right next to IASO Maternity Clinic and is staffed by esteemed and highly experienced physicians of all specialties and highly trained nursing and administrative staff. IASO Children’s Hospital runs on a 24-hour basis and provides both primary and secondary healthcare to all young patients, is fully equipped with cutting-edge medical equipment and accommodates a Polyvalent Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Over the last months, IASO Children’s Hospital developed two new medical departments:

Pediatric-cardiology and Pediatric cardiac-surgery. The Departments aspire to become a point of reference in the field of Pediatric-cardiology and Pediatric cardiac-surgery by offering specialist services, emphasizing in congenital heart defects. Recently, we officially opened the technologically advanced Hemodynamics Laboratory which allows for the performance of hybrid procedures in pediatric cardiac-surgery and pediatric-cardiology and observes the vascular network on 3-D imaging.

Regarding the insurance coverage, IASO Children’s Hospital cooperates with EOPYY (Greek National Organization for the Provision of Healthcare Services) for its entire provided services and has entered and continues to enter into cooperation agreements with the largest private insurance companies.
