IASO General Clinic: “Why Road Accidents Happen – How to Never Get Involved in One” Road Safety Educational Seminar
IASO General Clinic, within the framework of the actions of IASO Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility program “By Your Side” and aiming to raise public awareness on prevention and safety issues, is organizing a Road Safety Educational Seminar entitled: “Why Road Accidents Happen – How to Never Get Involved in One”, and invites parents and adolescents to attend.
The seminar will be held on Monday, March 23rd, 2026, at 15:00, at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall (37–39 Kifissias Ave, Maroussi).
The event is organized in collaboration with the Safe Driving Academy Riding School – Thanasis Chountras, a Physical Education teacher, Motorsport Coach (General Secretariat of Sports), and Safe Driving Instructor, as well as journalist Thomas K. Efthymiou, Automotive & Motorsport Specialist, two distinguished professionals with multiannual experience in the field of road safety and motoring.
During the seminar, the main causes of road accidents, along with practical ways to prevent and avoid them will be presented in an interactive way, using audiovisual material. Special emphasis will be placed on motorcycle safety, understanding human behavior while driving, and the concept of the “illusion of safety,” as well as on critical factors such as speed, mobile phone use, alcohol consumption, and seatbelt use.
At the same time, the seminar aims to raise awareness among adolescents and reduce ignorance around key road safety issues, contributing to the development of responsible driving behavior from a young age.
It is a modern, interactive seminar that encourages audience participation and discussion, featuring creative videos from international road safety campaigns, so as to bring about an actual change in attitude and cultivating driving awareness.
The seminar is addressed to all road users, regardless of age.
IASO General Clinic, wishing to actively contribute to the promotion of prevention and safety and supporting the development of a more responsible driving culture, always with the aim of reducing road accidents, invites parents and adolescents to attend the seminar.
