The 2^nd One-Day Seminar of IASO Children’s Hospital for Parents on the topic “Preschool Age: Everything you need to know” will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 09:15, at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall.

The seminar is organized by the 2^nd Pediatrics Clinic of IASO Children’s Hospital and is addressed to parents of preschoolers, who will have the opportunity to express and answer the queries that go hand in hand with raising their children, by discussing them with experts.

During the seminar, leading scientists in the field of pediatrics will talk about common issues that concern parents, giving advice on how to deal with and prevent them. The aim of the seminar is to discuss and clarify these issues in a straightforward manner, without any misinformation.

Special emphasis will be put on children experiencing fever and cough, how parents should manage these symptoms and also when it is recommended to turn to the pediatrician or even the hospital’s emergency department.

The following topics will be discussed during the seminar:

• Fever and Cough: friends or foes?
• Persistent wheezing: what it indicates and how to treat it  
• Group A streptococcal (GAS) infection: answers to common questions    
• Febrile seizures: should they scare us?
• Basic principles of positive parenting
• Ophthalmic assessment: the first assessment
