Menopause is a natural stage in every woman’s life. Menopause is said to have taken place when a woman has not had a period for 12 months. It usually occurs between the ages 45 to 55, when oestrogen levels drop.

The usual menopause’s symptoms that most women experience are hot flushes, mood swings and loss of interest in sex. They can start months or even years before full onset of menopause and can last for approximately 4 years after the last period, or even more.

Menopause screening tests take place at IASO (-2 level), from Monday to Friday, 8:00-17:00. No appointment is needed.
