In cooperation with the Embassy of Israel in Greece, IASO Children’s Hospital received today the “Dream Doctors Project”! Israeli Medical Clowns, Avital Dvory and Shahar Hurevich, visited IASO Children’s Hospital and cheered up not only our young friends, but the medical and nursing staffs, too.

In particular, Avital Dvory, accompanied by medical clown and musician Shahar Hurevich, met our pediatric inpatients and outpatients, played with them, and had moments of fun and joy. Also, they held a seminar and a workshop on the special “Dream Doctors” method for both the medical and nursing staffs, in order to teach them how to make pediatric hospitalization more pleasant.

Over the last 15 years, Avital Dvory is a medical clown at the “Hemek” and “Meir” Hospitals in Israel and she is one of the basic therapists of the “Dream Doctors Project” (medical clowns in action). In addition, Avital Dvory is a theater director, puppeteer and stage artist. She studied in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Barcelona, and she holds a Master’s degree from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, with a specialization in puppetry and physical theater. She has received many awards and she holds seminars all over the world on the special “Dream Doctors” method.
