FILOKTITIS: 5th  Multidisciplinary Study Day «Technology and informatics advances in rehabilitation»

The 5th Multidisciplinary Study Day titled “Technology and informatics advances in rehabilitation” is jointly organized by FILOKTITIS-Recovery & Rehabilitation Center and ELERGA-Hellenic Society of Ergospirometry, Exercise and Rehabilitation. The Study Day will be held on Saturday 10 June 2017, at the Events Hall of FILOKTITIS (on the corner of Pefkon and Peisistratou, Karellas, Koropi).

Various subjects will be presented and discussed at the Study Day, such as: assistive technologies and accessibility, virtual patient models and their use in Rehabilitation, robotic exoskeleton systems, telemedicine applications, as well as other subjects, either applied or under research, aiming at the scientific excellence of the participants for the benefit of the patients who require comprehensive rehabilitation programs with modern therapeutic technological interventions.

Patient-centered Filoktitis gives prominence to technology-informatics in the sensitive field of rehabilitation while it highlights the value of scientific human resources through its advances. Medicine and Healthcare are in the middle of a rapid change. Ideally, the future of health will balance between innovative medical practices and technologies, and man’s contribution. “Technology has probably become a major factor of change in the modern world”. The use of virtual reality has revolutionized both Science and Medicine by positively improving several of their fields, aiming at creativity and ongoing tests for the delivery of effective innovative technology systems in the light of holistic Medicine.
