Our little friends have the opportunity to undergo anthropometric measurements (body composition analysis, local-area body fat measurement, subcutaneous body fat measurement and body fat distribution pattern determination) in order to estimate their basic metabolic rate with the assistance of the state-of-the-art machine Body Composition Tracking System (The BOD POD S/T) exclusively owned by IASO’s Nutritional Support & Dietetics Center.

In addition, IASO Children’s Hospital, caring for all children’s comprehensive treatment, offers a visit to a team of specialists comprising a Pediatrician, a Pediatric-endocrinologist, a Clinical Nutritionist-Dietician and a Psychologist at the Department of Pediatric & Adolescent Obesity at IASO Children’s Hospital, aiming to the prevention and management of Childhood Obesity. Under the guidance of the team of specialists, effort is put on the nutritional education of the children and their families, for the prevention on the one part and the therapeutic intervention in cases of established obesity on the other.
