Environment

IASO Group demonstrates its continuous commitment to improve its environmental performance. For this reason, it has developed and implements environmental management procedures concerning:

• air pollution and prevention of the greenhouse effect
• liquid waste and wastewater management
• solid waste management (hazardous and non-hazardous), including the increase of recycling
• resource management (water & energy consumption)
• chemical management
• noise control

#iasoteam carried out 3 actions with 50 volunteers and collected a total of 2,500 findings from Agios Kosmas beach!

 

The health of the planet is closely linked to the citizens’ health. Our life depends on the natural environment and everything that it offers us in every possible way, which we protect and take care of. We must realize the dangers caused by environmental pollution that affects even the existence of humanity on our planet.

#teamiaso, consisting of 124 volunteers has started its work energetically, contributing to Save Your Hood’s goal! The team has already carried out 9 actions since 2021 and has managed to collect a total of 11,640L of litter! 

We stand By Your Side, with even more actions for the environment! We carry on... always committed to our goal for a cleaner environment!

 

• October 12th, 2022: Action at Tourkovounia! #iasoteam’s 8 volunteers collected 1,300L of litter. Through our voluntary contribution, we offer our help, for a litter-free society!

• September 20th, 2022: Action at Chelidonous Stream! #iasoteam, with its 4 volunteers, worked tirelessly and with great enthusiasm once more, for a cleaner environment and collected 2,500L of litter!

• April 2nd, 2022: Action at Spetses! In collaboration with the Municipality of Spetses, 20 volunteers collected 1,640L of litter from Scholes beach. Our little volunteers were in the front line, impressing us with their volition for beautiful, clean and golden beaches!
• March 14th,2022: Action at Agios Kosmas beach! #iasoteam with its 17 volunteers collected 2,500L of litter, among which we found 1 kite, 1 tire, slippers, shoes and many dozens of straws… Little volunteers were also energetically present!
• December 5th, 2021: Action at Ekali! The “By Your Side” program alongside #iasoteam and Save Your Hood met up in Ekali with 15 volunteers, where they collected 3,500L of litter!
• November 21st, 2021: IASO Group's “By Your Side” program supported Save Your Hood and attended its festive event providing medical coverage, for its one year of operation in Tourkovounia. One year of Save Your Hood, 8,500,000L of litter, 48,500 volunteers in 12 countries! We are proud to be part of this action and keep going strong!
• September 24th, 2021: Action in Thera Park! Both young and old residents of the area joined the #iasoteam and the 12 volunteers, together, we collected 200L of litter.

• June 6th, 2021: Participation in the Save Your Hood Coordinator's 1st Bootcamp in Raches, in Fthiotida. IASO Group, with the “By Your Side” program, traveled to Raches in Fthiotida, where the doctors of IASO General Clinic, Mr. Nikitas Skliros, Director; Sotiris Balokas, Attending Doctor of the 3rd Internal Medicine Clinic and Mr. Apostolos Champipis, Attending Doctor of the Orthopedics Clinic, stood by the side of the participants to give basic first aid instructions for dealing with injuries that may occur. The training was completed with the free provision of backpacks with first aid kits to accompany the teams in their every action and to protect what they hold most dear, their health.
• June 5th, 2021: Action at the Galatsi Ring Road! The IASO team, with 17 volunteers, met up with Save Your Hood in order to contribute to the collection of 500,000L of litter. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility actions, IASO Group actively participated in World Environment Day.
