A groundbreaking and highly demanding in technical expertise surgical procedure was successfully carried out at the 4^th Surgery Clinic of IASO General Clinic, marking the first case of a very rare metastatic neuroendocrine tumor of the pancreas (VIPoma) that was treated with this specific robotic surgical technique in Greece.

In particular, the patient had a history of multiple episodes of watery diarrhea over the past six months and persistent hypokalemia. Despite repeated hospitalizations at other medical institutions, the cause of her symptoms had not been identified. The diagnosis was made at the 3^rd Internal Medicine Clinic of IASO General Clinic. The surgical procedure, which consisted of partial pancreatectomy, splenectomy, and selective removal of liver metastases, was performed using a minimally invasive robotic technique by the specialists and Professors of Surgery, Messrs. Alexandros Papalampros and Athanasios Petrou and their team, drawing on the experience of the 4^th Surgery Clinic in both open and minimally invasive surgery of the liver, biliary tract, and pancreas. The postoperative course was smooth, with full restoration of the patient’s quality of life.
