IBUS Multimodality Breast Imaging and Image-guided Interventions Course

IASO: IBUS Multimodality Breast Imaging and Image-guided Interventions Course

The IBUS Multimodality Breast Imaging and Image-guided Interventions Course will be held from Thursday 07 to Saturday 09 June 2018, at the Events Hall of IASO, 37-39, Kifissias av., Maroussi.

The IBUS Course, which will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year in Greece, is organized by “EMEIS” (Scientific Breast Association|Cure|Support) and the IBUS Breast Imaging School with the support of the European School of Oncology (ESO) and includes high quality teaching presentations by members of the international and domestic academic community, and hands-on workshops.

The IBUS Breast Imaging School has established itself as the leading international provider of breast imaging courses, with teaching programs covering all aspects of multimodality breast imaging and image-guided interventions.

IBUS courses consist of high-quality lectures and “hands-on” workshops. Since 1991, more than 120 courses have been held through programs in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and South America.

The aim of the Course is the improvement of the strandards of breast imaging for assessing its pathology, covering the field of ultrasound imaging, mammography, MRI, and other newer and evolving investigation techniques. Also, within the framework of “hands-on” practice, the participants will watch a live surgery involving IntraOperative UltraSound (IOUS).

The Course is directed to breast surgeons, gynecologists, radiologists, oncologists, U/S specialists, and clinicians with basic and advanced knowledge in breast diseases.

The Course’s Scientific Directors are Messrs Grigorios Xepapadakis, M.D., Ph.D, Chief of the 2nd Breast Clinic at IASO, Breast Surgeon, and Enzo Durante, Professor of Surgery, University of Ferrara.
