Over the past five years, my academic research has focused exclusively on foot and ankle disorders, including high-level randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and multicenter population studies. Topics include:

    • Population-based studies of the forefoot anatomy in the Greek population
    • Evaluation of surgical approaches for deformities (flatfoot / cavus foot)
    • Prognostic factors for flatfoot
    • Reliability of arthroscopic vs. open techniques
    • Efficacy of percutaneous techniques in forefoot surgery
    • Management of lower limb infections with local antibiotic carriers
    • Treatment of bone defects
