The temple inside IASO Thessalias is dedicated to Saint Luke, the Physician.
 
In 1921 he was ordained as priest and afterwards (1923) as the Bishop of Tashkent. Since then, he combined pastoral and priestly duties. He remained the chief physician of the Tashkent General Hospital, operated on a daily basis and gave lectures at the Medical School, always wearing his cassock and cross. From 1922 until his last breath, he experienced arrests, tortures, exiles and hardships. He was imprisoned and exiled for a total of eleven years. During all this time, he practiced medicine, helping those in need.
