The Rheumatology Department of IASO Thessalias provides high-level services for the diagnosis and early treatment of rheumatic and systemic autoimmune diseases.   

At the Rheumatology Department, the following procedures are carried out:

• Intra-articular injections/diagnostic punctures
• Intravenous medicine Infusions in the Day Care Unit
  

Rheumatic autoimmune diseases affect not only the joints, but also other organs of the body. The earlier the diagnosis is made, the more effective the treatment. The Rheumatology Department covers all needs for the diagnosis and modern treatment of complex autoimmune rheumatic diseases:   

• With modern specialized immunology tests
• With modern imaging tests at the Radiology Laboratory
• With a central Microbiology/Biochemistry Laboratory and Pathology Laboratory
• With the collaboration of Doctors of other Specialties
