At IASO Thessalias, acute, recurrent and chronic respiratory conditions in children and adolescents are diagnosed, monitored and treated. 

Conditions evaluated and treated include: 

  • asthma and chronic bronchitis 
  • frequent and recurrent respiratory infections 
  • recurrent pneumonia and atelectasis 
  • noisy breathing 
  • congenital respiratory disorders 
  • bronchiectasis and interstitial lung diseases 
  • respiratory problems following hospitalization 
  • chronic lung disease of prematurity. 

Depending on the individual case, pulmonary function testing with spirometry, as well as appropriate laboratory and imaging investigations, may be performed. Respiratory function assessment is also available for children participating in sports.
