At IASO Thessalias, specialized hearing assessment for children and adolescents is provided for the early detection and management of potential hearing disorders.

Hearing assessment is particularly important, as good hearing is closely linked to speech and language development, communication and learning.

Hearing evaluation is particularly recommended for children who:

experience delayed speech and language development
have recurrent ear infections
have not undergone a previous hearing test or whose previous test results were not within the normal range
require preventive hearing screening
experience vertigo or balance disorders.

Depending on the child’s age and individual needs, testing may include pure-tone audiometry, tympanometry and other specialized audiological examinations.
