The Clinic has an Adult Intensive Care Unit with 11 beds, 4 of which support Thoracic surgery cases. The Unit, which operates in a single, comfortable and functional space, also has an isolation bed (BOX) and offers continuous and uninterrupted monitoring and care to patients whose vital functions are in critical condition.

It is a multivalent ICU, equipped with modern machines (bedside monitors and a central station for continuous monitoring and recording of patients' vital functions, pulse oximetry, temperature and blood pressure, ventilators, dose-measuring intravenous infusion pumps, enteral feeding pumps, blood gas analyzers and heart rate measurement and recording systems) and staffed with highly-trained and specialized medical and nursing staff. There is also a PRISMA machine (continuous venous hemodiafiltration) in the unit, for the immediate treatment of hospitalized patients with acute or chronic renal failure.

The state-of-the-art equipment and the comprehensive patient monitoring and mechanical support capabilities are enhanced by the particular emphasis placed on the ergonomics of the space, the environment of the Units and strict hygiene standards. Great importance has been given to the creation of a friendly environment in the Unit, with natural light and tasteful design. This has a direct impact on the patient and has been shown to be an important element in their faster recovery.

The Unit is on 24-hour standby for dealing with emergencies.
