IASO: Scientific Two-Day Conference “Cervical, vaginal and vulvar pathology, Screening and Triage: HPV tests, biomarkers, algorithms, colposcopy and scoring system”

We would like to inform you that IASO Hospital’s Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Department, in collaboration with the Hellenic Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (HSCCP) and the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD), is organizing a Scientific Two-Day Conference for the 6th consecutive year, on the topic: “Cervical, vaginal and vulvar pathology, Screening and Triage: HPV tests, biomarkers, algorithms, colposcopy and scoring system”. The conference will be held on Saturday, February 7th, and Sunday, February 8th, 2026, within the framework of IASO Group’s 2025 - 2026 Scientific Event Program.
The Scientific Director of the conference is Mr. Evripidis Bilirakis, MD, PhD, Obstetrician - Gynecologist, PhD Holder of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ioannina, Clinical Professor of the Medical School of the European University of Cyprus, General Secretary of the Hellenic Society for Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology, Head of the Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Department of IASO Hospital.
The two-day meeting will cover the modern diagnostic and therapeutic approach to the pathology of the cervix, vagina, vulva, and anus, as well as the importance of the microbiome and vaccination, and the management of the risk of infertility and preterm birth.
For the first time this year, in collaboration with the ISSVD and ECSVD, the morning of Sunday, February 8th, 2026, will be dedicated to vulvar and vaginal pathology through a very concise 4-hour theoretical Postgraduate Training Course. Afterwards, a hands-on practical training will be held, in the use of the colposcope, as well as LASER and LLETZ/NETZ techniques on manikins, under the guidance of specialists in cervical pathology. Participants will be trained in how to handle specialized instruments and forceps, as well as in the use of new medical devices.
