The Anesthesiology Department of IASO is organizing a One-Day Anesthesiology Conference on the topic: "When Teamwork Turns into a Powerful Tool for the Benefit of Patients", which will be held on Saturday, May 31^st, 2025, at 09:00, at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall. 

The aim of the conference is to highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in the anesthesiology field, with a special focus on the period of pregnancy and the perioperative care of women who are pregnant or about to give birth.

Relevant topics will be presented within the framework of the conference, such as the physiological changes in pregnancy, preoperative assessment, anesthesia during labor and cesarean section, epidural failure, as well as more specialized topics including anesthesia administration for non-obstetric surgeries, emergencies during pregnancy, oncologic patients, and care in the ICU.

The conference’s goal is to enrich scientific knowledge and foster the exchange of experiences, in order to ultimately achieve the improvement of patient safety and quality of care.

The Scientific Directors of the Conference will be Ms. Angeliki Boura – Athanasiou, Anesthesiologist, Director, Anesthesiology Department, IASO and Mr. Georgios Stamos, Anesthesiologist – Intensivist, Associate Director, Anesthesiology Department, IASO.
