The Two-Day Conference on the topic “Fetal Neurology: Its Role in Prenatal Diagnosis and Counseling” will be held on Friday, July 3^rd, and Saturday, July 4^th, 2026, at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall.

The conference focuses on the need for close and meaningful collaboration between Obstetricians – Gynecologists and Pediatric Neurologists. Its aim is to establish a common scientific basis where the accuracy of prenatal diagnosis meets neurological expertise, with the ultimate goal not only of identifying nervous system disorders early but also of forming a comprehensive counseling framework for future parents. It is a significant scientific meeting which aspires to highlight contemporary challenges and opportunities in monitoring the neurological development of the fetus and the newborn.

The scientific program has been designed to cover the full spectrum of fetal neurology, from normal fetal development to the management of complex pathological conditions. The latest advances in ultrasound imaging (fetal neurosonography), fetal MRI and genetic analyses will be presented, tools that are essential for making critical clinical decisions and providing appropriate guidance to families.

Mr. Panagiotis Benardis, Obstetrician – Gynecologist, Scientific Associate, IASO’s Maternal-Fetal & Perinatal Medicine Department, Head, IASO’s Fetal Neurology Department, and Ms. Antigone Papavasiliou, MD, PhD, FAAP, FAAN, Pediatric Neurologist, Director of the Neurology Department of IASO Children’s Hospital and Coordinating Director of the Sleep Disorder Laboratory of IASO Children’s Hospital,   are the Scientific Directors of the conference.
