We would like to inform you that the 2^nd Vascular Surgery Clinic of IASO General Clinic, under the aegis of the Hellenic Phlebological Society, is organizing a Vascular Surgery One-Day Conference for the first time, which will be held on Saturday, April 25^th, 2026, at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall.

The Scientific Director of the conference is Mr. Antonios N. Papageorgiou, Vascular Surgeon, MD Vice Admiral, Director, 2^nd Vascular Surgery Clinic, IASO General Clinic, Head, Vascular Surgery Department, IASO Children’s Hospital.

The conference’s topics focus on one of the most common yet complex challenges in modern clinical practice: the management of Chronic Venous Disease (CVD), its complications, as well as lymphedema, so as to achieve accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

Special emphasis will be placed on the diagnosis and treatment of phlebothrombosis, a complication that often goes unnoticed but can lead to severe conditions for the patient. Moreover, the importance of prevention will be highlighted, particularly with regard to special patient groups, where a personalized approach and heightened clinical vigilance are required.

One of the most innovative aspects of the conference is the approach to Pelvic Venous Disease, showcasing the close collaboration between vascular surgery and gynecology, in relation to both diagnosis and treatment. At the same time, the latest data on the treatment of thrombosis in the iliofemoral axis, as well as modern interventions for oncology patients, will be presented.
