The therapeutic landscape in oncology has radically changed in recent years, thanks to the identification of specific molecular subtypes of neoplasms, as well as the introduction of innovative treatment approaches, such as immunotherapy and targeted therapies. These advancements are reflected daily in clinical practice, leading to significant improvements in both patient survival and quality of life. However, the rapid pace of change brings new challenges to the forefront, such as selecting the most appropriate treatment for each patient, the need for effective genetic counseling, supporting preventive interventions, and also the proper management of adverse effects of new medicines.

The aim of the two-day conference is to inform healthcare professionals about the most important advances that will be presented at the upcoming European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress 2025, which will be held on October 17th-21st, 2025, in Berlin. The conference is scheduled just a few days after the congress, so it can serve as a platform for the immediate transmission of newly acquired knowledge to the Greek medical community. An overview of the most recent and important scientific data, providing an opportunity for those who did not attend the congress to keep up to date with developments that directly affect clinical practice.

In this rapidly changing environment, many scientific questions remain unanswered by clinical studies or existing guidelines. The need for an ongoing and meaningful scientific dialogue between specialties is of critical importance, in order to shape the best practices for patient care. In this context, the dedicated session on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, is especially significant, as it will focus on clinical research on gynecologic and genitourinary types of cancer in Greece, with the participation of the President of the Hellenic Cancer Federation, the President of the Hellenic Association of CROs, and a Representative of the Directors of Clinical Research in Pharmaceutical Companies.

The ultimate goal of the conference is to create scientific perspectives and draw useful conclusions that will support oncology practice in a more effective, evidence-based, and patient-centered way.

You may attend the conference in person. The registration for attending it is free of charge.
