We would like to inform you that IASO’s Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Department, in collaboration with the Hellenic Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (HSCCP), are organizing a Scientific One-Day Conference on the topic: “Cervical pathology: HPV tests, biomarkers, algorithms, colposcopy & screening and triage scoring system”, which will take place on Saturday, February 18^th, 2023, at 09:00 a.m., at IASO Hospital’s Event Hall.

The purpose of the Conference is the analysis of the range of new molecular diagnostic methods that have been introduced internationally, aiming at the screening and triage of cases related to sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and HPV.

Specialists in the pathology of the lower genital tract, both from Greece and abroad, will discuss the modern diagnostic methods that are applied internationally, as well as the importance of the individualized treatment of cervical pathology cases. The pathology of the vulva and vulvodynia, the vaginal microbiome and the role of dysbiosis, vaccination and new indications, but also the treatment of the prematurity risk after treatment constitute some of the topics of the One-Day Conference, in addition to a presentation and discussion of many and interesting incidents.

The Scientific Director of the Conference is Mr. Evripidis Bilirakis, MD, PhD, Obstetrician / Gynecologist, PhD Holder of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ioannina, Clinical Professor of the Medical School of the European University of Cyprus, General Secretary of the Hellenic Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (HSCCP), Head of the IASO Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Department.
