The IASO Children's Hospital Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery Center is an International Model Center of Reference. It provides comprehensive treatment of conditions involving the cranium, face, maxilla and mouth and is staffed by the most experienced, highly trained and internationally certified team with a specialty in pediatrics.

The center specializes in monitoring and surgically treating all cranial and facial malformations and genetic deformities, as well as functional or aesthetic problems that may occur throughout childhood. Each child is treated in accordance with a comprehensive and individualized medical treatment and care plan based on international protocols.

Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of surgeons from the U.S.A. with extensive experience and training at some of the largest hospitals abroad. Spiros A. Lazarou M.D., Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgeon and head of the IASO Children's Hospital Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery Center, and Vassilios A. Zerris, M.D., M.P.H., M.Sc., FAANS, a neurosurgeon and head of the IASO Children's Hospital Pediatric Neurosurgery Department, and their scientific associates guarantee top-quality care that meets the highest international standards. It is indicative that the team has presented a number of papers at Greek and international conferences, with more than 300 papers published in Greek and international medical journals and it continues to publish new surgical techniques.
